Hi all, its the lazy webmaster again...
Handed over a cheque for £1500 last month, this brings the total
raised to a nice round £6500. Thanks to all who helped out
with the fundraiser and also those who donated stuff for the raffle and
auction.
We will be holding another Rockin' For Tots night in the new year so watch this space....
18th April 2006 Been a bit lazy posting here but the latest is The Stereophonics stuff is back up due to someone else not stumping up the cash after sticking a bid in, and a cheque was handed over to SSCB at the end of March for £5000. Still trying to clear up the odds and ends and should be able to hand over the rest around the end of the month. Also got a message today from one of the organisers of the Forth Bridge trip to say that the winners had a successful trip and made it back safe onto dry land.
27th February 2006 Re-listed the Stereophonics stuff due to a non-payment and also re-listed the Matt Goss CD (Thanks Alison). Also new on the auction page is the Robert Plant items (signed book and CD).
19th February 2006 The Forth Bridge trip has gone to a bidder in Hampshire for £100. The Darth Vader pic and Matt Goss signed CD have also gone.
We also now have a Led Zeppelin biog and a copy of Mighty Rearranger on CD both signed by Robert Plant and we hope to have this on e-bay in the next couple of days
13th February 2006 Forth Bridge trip still at £100... last chance folks, it finishes tomorrow... a nice Valentines Day present for your other half...
7th February 2006 A few folk noting interest in the Forth Bridge trip but nobody is brave enough to put in another bid yet. Sold the Stereophonics stuff for £72.00 and the House of Commons Whisky for £22.10 so these items should be on their way soon.

Forth Bridge - update
- we have received a starting bid of £100 for the Forth Bridge
visit from a bidder in Hampshire.
Bidders will remain anonymous and we will update the site whenever we get
a higher bid.
The closing date for bids will be midnight on the 14th February 2006, so
that is giving you plenty of time to get your bids in.
Please don't e-mail bids that you don't intend to honour.
I have added a gallery but we are still waiting on some images being sent in.
22nd January 2006 Had to remove the Forth Bridge item this week after a request from Railtrack. They were unhappy about the item being open to anybody and everybody on e-bay so we have removed the item from the auction site. We still have to get rid of it so if you are still interested, e-mail us ...
15th January 2006 Finally got all the raffle prizes delivered and had a nice relaxing Christmas and New Year. Now on with the rest of the auction items.....

The raffle has been drawn and the winners are listed here.
Thanks to everyone who helped sell raffle tickets and thanks to everyone
that bought some. If you did win, well done and if you didn't, better luck
next time. We hope to get the prizes delivered to the winners between now
and the beginning of January.
Also a big thanks to Pat Bell who donated £167 from the sale of scones at
work. I wonder how many scones were sold?
Sold the second of the Long Way Round Book for £68.00 and the Gordon
Ramsay cookbook for £28.51. Thanks to all the bidders.
The Glemorangie Malt will be re-listed due to the restrictions with
customs at its intended destination.

A MASSIVE THANKS to all of you who came along on Saturday, we hope you
enjoyed the show. Sorry about the late start, it was supposed to be doors
at 6:30 but due to some small technical hitches, it ended up 7:30. The
music on the night was excellent, our thanks goes out to all the bands and
also to everyone who helped out in even the smallest way on the night.
We are still waiting on some ticket money coming in so we don't have a
figure for Saturday night yet but we will let you know as soon as we get
the rest in.
Please feel free to leave us your comments (good or bad) about the rock
night in our guestbook.
If you have any photos from the night, please send them to us and we will
put up a gallery.

Posted the Gordon Ramsay cookbook and the Long Way Round book on
e-bay, also got some other items coming in very shortly - one of them is a
trip to the top of the Forth Bridge (that's the rail bridge, not the road
one if you are not sure), not for the faint-hearted!! I will update the
auction page with the info for the new stuff soon,
Recently, on e-bay, the whisky sold for £72.00, the Y&T CD for
£20.50 and the Ray Wilson CD for £14.00, thanks to the
winning bidders.
Only a few days to go until the rock night!! Get in early, doors open at
approx 6:30pm and the first band will be on at 7:00pm
On the night we will be having a raffle for an electric guitar amongst
other things so remember and buy a raffle ticket...
29th November 2005 The item we received from Fish has now sold for £121.00 on e-bay. Thanks to all the bidders and thanks to the winner for the winning amount. Less than 2 weeks to go....

22nd November 2005 Tickets for the fundraiser are now also available from Tickets Scotland in Rose St Edinburgh along with online at Ticketweb, the eXchange and from band members.
14th November 2005 (late edition) Posted the Fish goodies on e-bay so go and have a look....

Sold one of the Long Way Round books on e-bay for £45.00. Still
got one more and a DVD to go. We hope to get something else up for auction
either today or tomorrow so keep watching.
Ticket sales for the rock night are picking up now, so if you want one,
you better get one soon.... only about 4 weeks to go.
25th October 2005 The first 2 items up for auction went today, the signed Iron Maiden biog for £107.75 and the signed Hibernian FC ball for £22.00. Thanks to all that put in bids and congratulations to the winners of each of the above items.
24th October 2005 We received an e-mail from SSCB last week advising us that Radio Forth's 'Help a Child Appeal' had been in touch with them and after some negotiation, they donated the balance for the brain monitor!! It seems that, together with Rosie Sutherland at Big Al Entertainments, our hard work and great publicity (thanks to Forth Action) has paid off!!!
So..... as the brain monitor has been funded, we are now raising funds for a CPAP ventilator for the neo-natal unit

4th October 2005 We would like to thank the organizers of the Madisons rock night for the donation we received from them. So.. A big 'Thank You' to Julie, Susan and Max from Rockin'forTots.
26th September 2005 Tickets are now available from Ticketweb and from the Exchange in Grove Street at a very reasonable price of £10. For this you will get 6 bands and a Rock Club till 3am. Later on in the week, tickets will also be available from band members. Please note that there is an awful lot of interest in this event - especially since we had such great publicity through Forth Action so probably best to secure a ticket sooner rather than later!! Bring your budding rock fan kids - as long as they are over 14!
Just in case there is any confusion, please note that the auction will not be taking place on the night of the Exchange event. The auction will be running separately through e-bay - so get that paypal account up and ready to get that biography/cookbook etc. Great christmas present for someone!

The raffle will be drawn on the 17th of December, one week after the rock
night. No more details but we will have the tickets next week - priced at
£1 each - so, if you would like to buy some or help to sell them, send us
an e-mail.
Tickets for the fundraiser will also be available from the end of next
week. These will be available initially from band members and the
Exchange. More outlets will be added soon.
p.s. Gill was on the radio yesterday...
7th September 2005 We received a limited edition bottle of 25 year old Glenmorangie Malaga Wood Finish malt whisky for the auction. This whisky is no longer available and sold for about £75 per bottle when it was in the shops. This will be up for auction with the rest of the items we have soon, so keep watching.

Busy week or two just passed hence the slow updates (sorry, must do
better). Received some goodies from Fish, Stereophonics and Ray Wilson
this week. Also more stuff for the raffle in the way of Whisky, Beer and a
hamper with some wine in it!!
There has also been a button added to the site so, if you want, you can
make a donation to Rockin' for Tots.
21st August 2005
Did a radio interview last week (Tuesday), it was good fun but quite
strange trying to put into words what we are trying to do with the
fundraiser. Got there in the end though..
Two more bands confirmed for the rock night are The
Joshua 4 and a one off gig from Van Hielan. Also hopefully confirming
this week are AC/DC tribute band Volts (formerly known as Bon's Balls).
14th August 2005 More prizes for the raffle appeared last week and have been added to the prize list. Next week, we have a radio interview to do and we hope to be able to finalize the bands within the next couple of weeks. Also thanks to SSCB for letting us use some of their graphics on the site.
3rd August 2005 We
have been informed of the type of equipment we are fundraising for so now
we have a goal. The equipment is a brain monitor, this can be seen here
on the BrainZ website under the products link.
I have added a page for press cuttings that have appeared in the papers.
25th July 2005 Posted up some pics of items for auctioning off on the Auction page. We should also have some local press this week as we have been contacted by one of the local papers about the fundraiser, and another band confirmed to play along with Apparition and Fullmetalracket are Stillife.
18th July 2005 Not much in the way of news at the moment as we are just starting to get things off the ground. We are slowly beginning to get items in for the raffle and auction and we hope to be able to get out and about soon to listen to some bands who would be/are willing to play the fundraiser. Also hope to put up a page with some pictures and stuff from the last fundraiser we did in 2001. We also have an interview with a local radio station to do soon, more details later....
